 | One of the interesting aspects of the MM poster series is that you can look back over the body of work and notice patterns and tendencies. In retrospect I spent a lot of time hammering on Isaac's "death-issue lyrics" (for lack of a better term), so the goal on the last couple of posters was to move away from trodden ground.
I guess I didn't travel too far—just over to the bar, apparently. I love the ambiguity of Isaac's lyrics, and that this line alone could be both a description of folks buying him drinks and a commentary on self-medication. The "fire in your belly" metaphor fit nicely with "unquenchable thirst," and the poster designed itself from there...
